Being too emotional gets a bad rap. The feelings are not the problem. The problem is when there is associated drama. When we fall into playing the victim, or the persecutor, or the rescuer we block real connection and honest truths. We get lost in the story (drama) of what’s happening rather staying present to our moment to moment feelings.
Our feelings on the other hand bring us into a conversation. When we feel in the moment, rather than tend to our feelings after, we shift our interactions from being too emotional to being emotional and poignant. Why? Because our power comes from being more of ourselves, and when we are fully present to what’s going on inside right now, we embody ourselves the most.
