Relationships are not one day contracts. They are built over time. But what would happen if you did treat every one as a brand new one? What trust would you re-establish? What expectations and boundaries would you reset? Would you approach people with more or less care?

We probably make more assumptions about relationships than any other part of our life. It makes sense, there are two sets of beliefs, desires, thoughts, behaviors at play. But what could change if you approached every interaction as having the same potential as a brand new one? Most would argue that the beauty of a relationship is that the basic things are already established, but what if you didn’t take those as a given?
