the fallacy of being needy

When we criticize ourselves as “being needy” we are essentially telling ourselves that there is something wrong with our needs. And when we condemn ourselves for having needs, we’re really saying our hungers and desires are too much. Both are BS. Being needy simply means there is something we need. When we’re hungry, we eat. When we’re needy, we must get our needs met. It’s the only way to accurately see and affirm them (our needs) and ourselves.

P.S. The only people who notice neediness are ones who have rejected their own needs and decided they aren’t worth it.
