How can I help you do your job better?
Most team members (managers and makers, i.e., individual contributors) are more focused on telling each other what should be done better/differently. Some Things I Read Last Week:
- HBR: The Little Things That Make Employees Feel Appreciated “Building a culture of appreciation comes down mostly to a lot of small commonsense practices: Not taking your people for granted.”
- NYT: Silicon Valley Is Trying Out a New Mantra: Make a Profit “Now some investors and start-ups are beginning to…invoke turning a profit and generating ‘positive unit economics’ as their new priorities.”
What I’m Working On This Week:
Asking better questions.
