Beliefs are really just thoughts we have had for a long time, thoughts we have repeated over and over again to the point that they have become something we believe to be true. I’m not enough. I’m not okay. I’m all alone. These beliefs are simply the sticky residue left over from repeated thought patterns. We can change our beliefs, because we can change our thoughts. It takes focus and attention, but it’s within our control.
If it’s within our control, why isn’t it easy? The problem is that we spend more time trying to change the facts (gravity problems), than addressing our beliefs. When we accept facts as facts, we free up more space to focus on changing our thoughts. And when we dedicate time and precision to changing our thoughts, our beliefs begin to naturally shift too.
