indifference and resentment

The surest way to facilitate indifference or resentment on your team is to match people and projects based on their title, level, or availability. In doing so, you miss the opportunity to optimize for people’s skills and interests.

The same goes for personal relationships. Trying to mold your significant other or friends into the people you think they should be, will generate resentment.

Connection grows from looking for other people’s intrinsic gifts. And connection is how we ignite positive shifts.
