dissecting conversations

What’s the last interaction that you had? If you are willing to dissect it you can learn a lot about how you interact with the world. Some starting prompts:

  • Did you shutdown? Where else in your life do you retreat?
  • Did you run away? What else in your life are you avoiding?
  • Did you put up a fight? Where else are you looking to create or fuel war?
  • Did you roll over for the other person’s needs? Where else do you put other people before yourself?
  • Did you get what you wanted? Where else are you getting satisfied?

Slowing down and reflecting on “good” and “bad” interactions allows us to identify exactly what we want to take and apply to our next conversations.
